A spokesman for Michael Jackson has denied reports that the he is suffering from a rare respiratory disease and needs a lung transplant. He added that author Ian Halperin made the claims to promote his unauthorised biography of the 50-year-old singer. "The writer's wild allegations concerning Michael’s health are a total fabrication," he said. The author, of the book, claimed in last weekends Sunday Express that Michael was suffering from an illness that affected the blood and lungs.

The Warner Music Group has told YouTube, the video sharing site, to remove music videos by its artists from the site. Contract negotiations have ended because Warner wanted more money for having its music on YouTube.

Robbie Williams has spent most of Christmas at his mother’s hospital bedside. His Mum Jan had to undergo an emergency heart bypass operation after doctors found a diseased artery. She is apparently recovering “incredibly well”.

Madonna seemed to be planning a good Christmas, despite her recent divorce. She splashed out £5,000 on fizzy wine that is laced with silver. She apparently bought 25 bottles of the Spanish tipple for Christmas. The wine is made by mixing a liquor containing silver dust into a sparkling Rose.

MADONNA AND GUY HAPPY WITH SETTLEMENT
At the start of this week it was revealed that Madonna had paid former husband Guy Ritchie around £50m as part of their divorce settlement and the figure included the value of the couple's Ashcombe home in England. Apparently it was Madonna’s US spokeswoman Liz Rosenberg that confirmed this. However later in the week it was said that Madonna and Guy Ritchie are both "happy" with their divorce agreement, but said in a joint statement the earlier statement suggesting the singer paid him £50m was "misleading and inaccurate" and the amount will never be revealed publically.

ALEXANDRA WINS THE X FACTOR
The X Factor final took place last night and saw Eoghan, JLS and Alexandra fight to win the million pound recording contract. Judge Simon Cowell said it was “too close to call”. Eoghan came third, JLS were second and so the winner was Alexandra Burke. She beat JLS by over one million votes. Remarkably, Louis Walsh chose not to put her through to the live shows three years ago but this year she got her wish and has won. Her debut single is the bookies favourite to be Christmas number one next weekend.

BLUR TO REFORM
Britpop band, Blur are reforming to play a huge live show in London's Hyde Park next summer, nine years after their last concert as a four-piece band. Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree will reunite for the concert on 3rd July. Lead singer Damon told The NME magazine “It just felt it was right again." The announcement has now added fuel to the speculation that the band will also play at next year's Glastonbury Festival, which falls a week before the Hyde Park gig. But a Glastonbury spokesman said fans should not buy tickets based on unconfirmed reports.

WOGAN QUITS EUROVISION
Sir Terry Wogan is stepping down as commentator on the Eurovision Song Contest after three decades. The 70 year-old said it was "no longer a music contest" and that prospects for western European participants were "poor". Terry said he would be "sad to leave it all behind". He said "I've had 35 wonderful years commentating on the Eurovision for radio and television. "From my first, in a small music hall in Dublin, to my last, in the huge arena in Belgrade, it has been nothing but laughter and fun”. MADONNA AND GUY GET DIVORCED
Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie were granted a divorce at the High Court in London on Friday. The decree nisi was granted just a month after the couple, who have three children, declared their eight year marriage was over. Neither Madonna nor Guy was in court on Friday. It has been reported that the couple did not demand a financial settlement from each other. Madonna is thought to be worth £300m, while Guy is believed to have £30m in assets. It is thought the couple had come to an agreement over custody of the children before the divorce.

The King of Bahrain's son is suing Michael Jackson for £4.7m for turning his back on a music contract, which would have paid back the loans he gave the star. The World Music Awards took place this week in Monaco. The awards are based on worldwide sales and saw Coldplay named as the world's top-selling act of 2008. The best pop female award went to Leona Lewis. US singer Kid Rock won best pop male and the prize for best male pop/rock artist. Amy Winehouse won the female pop/rock award. Alicia Keys was best R&B artist while Leona Lewis also won the new artist prize. Beyonce took home the outstanding contribution to the arts award while the special achievement prize went to Mariah Carey. Lil' Wayne was named top hip-hop/rap artist top and Akon was crowned biggest internet artist of the year. Ringo Starr picked up the diamond award on behalf of The Beatles, the prize honours artists who have sold more than 100 million albums.

The MTV Europe Music Awards took place on Thursday and this year it was held in the UK in Liverpool. American stars dominated this year with Britney Spears and 30 Seconds To Mars scooping two prizes each. The only UK winners were Sir Paul McCartney and Rick Astley. Paul McCartney won the Ultimate Legend award while Rick Astley won the Best Act Ever award, partly thanks to the Rick-rolling craze on the internet. Britney Spears won Album Of The Year and Act Of 2008 while 30 Seconds To Mars won the Rock Out and Video Star awards. Pink, Kanye West and the show host, Katy Perry, also collected awards. FESTIVE TOP OF THE POPS SCRAPPED
The BBC has revealed that they are scrapping the traditional Christmas Day Top Of The Pops, for the first time, this year. Top Of The Pops was decommissioned by the BBC in 2006 but Top Of The Pops 2 and the Christmas Day show remained. However the BBC will not be running the festive show this year. This week Simon Cowell said he would like to buy the rights to the Top of the Pops Christmas Special from the BBC and broadcast it on ITV. "I would rather it came to us than just sit in the dustbin" he said. But the BBC have declined his offer saying that they plan some special Top Of The Pops 2 programmes to make up for the gap in the Christmas day schedule.

The Sun newspaper reported that security had to be increased on The X Factor, this weekend, amid claims by militant Omar Bakri that the show is anti-Muslim. The preacher voiced his opinions after learning that this year's contestants have recorded a charity single called 'Hero' to help British soldiers injured in conflict. Omar told Muslims not to wear Help For Heroes wristbands or to buy or sell the show's charity single. MADONNA AND GUY SPLIT
Madonna and her husband Guy Ritchie are to divorce after nearly eight years of marriage, their PR representatives have confirmed. Relations were still cordial and they expected to agree a settlement without going to court, added Madonna's spokeswoman, Liz Rosenberg. There has been increasing speculation in recent months that the couple's relationship was on the rocks. In July, Madonna's publicist denied the pair were planning to divorce, saying their marriage did not "need saving". Guy has apparently said that Madonna is a domineering control freak while Madonna has reportedly said that he prefers the pub to his family. She is worth £300 million while Guy has a £30 million and says he doesn’t want any of Madonna’s money although it looks likely that the divorce will bag him £60 million of her fortune.

The Q Awards took place in London this week and saw Coldplay picking up two awards. They won the award for Best Act In The World Today and Best Album for ‘Viva La Vida Or Death & All His Friends’. Best New Act went to The Last Shadow Puppets, Best Breakthrough Artist went to Duffy while the Best Live Act went to the Kaiser Chiefs. The Legend award went to Glen Campbell, the Icon award to Adam Ant and the Idol award to Grace Jones. On collecting his award Adam Ant said "It's good to be standing here. It's very good to be standing, actually". Both nominees and winners were selected by readers of the monthly music magazine.

BT DIGITAL MUSIC AWARDS
Kylie Minogue has won two awards at this year's BT Digital Music Awards, which took place at the Roundhouse in London this week. She won best pop artist and best innovation for the Kylie Konnect site, which allows her fans to create their own profiles on it. Radiohead were crowned artists of the year and Coldplay won best rock/indie artist and best official music website. A panel of experts chose seven award winners while the public voted online for the remaining 13 prizes. Hadouken! won best electronic artist and DJ and Wiley was named best urban artist for his single ‘Wearing my Rolex’. Other winners included The Zutons for best video podcast and Vampire Weekend for best breakthrough artist.

GLASTO TICKETS ON SALE NOW
Glastonbury festival organiser Michael Eavis has said the event's new ticket scheme will be "fairer for everyone". Tickets for the three day event, in June, went on Sale today with fans having the option to pay a deposit of £50 or buy a ticket outright. McCARTNEY'S ISRAEL GIG
Sir Paul McCartney has played his first gig in Israel in front of an estimated 40,000 cheering fans. He started off the concert with the Beatles' song ‘Hello, Goodbye’ at Tel Aviv's Yarkon Park. Before the gig he said he was "not nervous, but excited". The gig came 43 years after The Beatles were banned from performing in Israel. In 1965 The Beatles were scheduled to perform, but were prevented taking the stage because of fears they could "corrupt the nation's youth". Before Thursday's concert Paul said: "You couldn't keep me off that stage." He shrugged off Palestinian pleas to boycott Israel in protest over its military and settlement activity. "I was aware of the criticism," he said. "But I thought it was best to go with a message of peace and find out myself what the situation was."

BUSTA RHYMES GAINS UK ENTRY

The Stereophonics were caught up in a high speed police chase in Canada after their tour bus driver failed to stop for boarder patrolmen. They gave chase at high speed and the bus was eventually stopped on the Canadian and American boarder. Their bus was then subjected to a fingertip search.

The Vodafone Live Music Awards took place this week. The nominees were chosen by a panel of judges, with the winners decided by a public vote. The Spice Girls won best live return after getting back together for a world tour. Primal Scream picked up two of the top awards, for best live act and outstanding contribution to live music. MERCURY MUSIC PRIZE
Rock group Elbow have won the award for the best British album of the past year, The Nationwide Mercury Prize. The award, for the band's fourth studio album ‘The Seldom Seen Kid’, comes 18 years after the band formed and seven years after their first Mercury nomination. The album reached number five in the UK album chart when it came out in March, their most successful release to date. The Manchester band beat 11 other contenders, including Radiohead and Adele to the £20,000 prize. The shortlist of 12 albums of the year was chosen by a panel of musicians, producers, presenters and music journalists. The decision is based solely on the musical merit rather than sales success, organisers said.

EUROVISION DANCE CONTEST 2008
On Saturday, the Eurovision Dance Contest took place in Glasgow's SECC. The show was hosted by Graham Norton and Claudia Winkleman. The show featured 14 couples from Austria, Azerbaijan, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Ukraine and the United Kingdom. The format is each couple, one celebrity and one professional dancer, perform a freestyle dance with a national flavour which could have elements of Latin and Ballroom. Poland won the contest after their routine set to a Michael Jackson track. The UK finished in ninth place out of fourteen competitors.

GEORGE BOWS OUT FROM THE LIVE STAGE
George Michael did an amazing set, on Bank Holiday Monday, in what was described as his final live concert ever. George has said that he now wants a quieter life. He looked very dapper in a brown suit, tinted glasses and platform heels. He started off his two and a half hour set with his 1996 hit ‘Fast Love’ and then trundled through his back catalogue performing his hits which included Father Figure, Too Funky and Faith. He also sang covers of The Police hit Roxanne and Nina Simone’s Feeling Good. There was a mild disappointment though that his fellow performer from Wham, Andrew Ridgeley, did not join him on stage after rumours suggested that he would.

This week The Kerrang! Awards took place in London. Metallica received the metal magazine's inspiration award, while Rage Against the Machine entered its Hall of Fame. MUSIC WILL BRING THE OLYMPICS HOME
Will Young, James Morrison, The Feeling, McFly and Scouting for Girls have signed up for London's Olympic Handover party. They will perform at the concert which is being held on The Mall in London. The gig, which marks the moment London becomes the official Olympic city, takes place at the same time as the Beijing 2008 Olympic Closing Ceremony on 24th August. Arctic Monkeys frontman Alex Turner has scored his third Mercury Prize nomination in as many years, with his side project The Last Shadow Puppets. The band's debut album joins releases by Adele, Radiohead, Estelle, Elbow, Laura Marling and Robert Plant with Alison Krauss on the award's shortlist. Former judge Lauren Laverne, who announced this year's nominations, said the Mercury was "the most unpredictable, unquantifiable music prize there is". "These 12 records say something about British music today. This is a really difficult list. Everyone deserves to be there on their own merit." McFly have come under criticism after giving away their new album, called Radio:ACTIVE, in a Sunday paper today. Last year Prince did the same and was blasted by the music industry for devaluing music. McFly did the same today in a move that will have got their album in millions of homes nationwide. One tabloid this week accused the band of sly tactics of trying to get their new single to number one. Their latest single was released on Monday with three different CD’s and covers. Some shops were selling the singles at a discount if you bought all three. But the purchase would count as three sales of the single for the official singles chart. GLASTONBURY 2008
The Glastonbury Festival has been taking place this weekend in Somerset and the headline act has been a success after all the controversy about a hip-hop act being wrong for the festival. He had a massive audience even though his set was expected to be boycotted. Amy Winehouse also played the Pyramid Stage a few hours before him. She did an hour long set before returning to hospital to continue her treatment. She did allegedly thump a fan though after she tried to pull Amy’s hair. Sadly crime more than doubled at this year’s event but the weather hasn’t been too bad though. The mud returned in some parts of the site but overall it has been much better and tickets did eventually sell out but only after the event had started. Mc-HAPPY DEAL FOR McFLY
McFly have delayed there comeback album until September while they reach a mega-money deal with McDonalds. The album was due out in July and is McFly’s first album release on their own record label called ‘Super Records’. But they have now put off the album release for more than two months after McDonalds entered talks about a lucrative deal to promote their new material. It has cost the band dearly as they had put a lot of money into a July release but if talks with the fast food chain become fruitful they will cash-in massively. McDonalds are likely to offer free downloads with meal deals and pictures of the band will appear all over the burger chain’s 1,250 UK restaurants.

GLASTO TICKETS NOW ON SALE IN SHOPS
This week the last remaining tickets for the Glastonbury Festival went on sale at selected HMV stores. Ten thousand tickets will be sold over the counter at seven of its major city branches. Festival organiser Michael Eavis said "With just a couple of weeks to go, we want to make it as easy as possible for people to buy the last few festival tickets." Tickets went on sale from Wednesday morning priced £155 plus applicable fees. Buyers are allowed to buy a maximum of six tickets each and will need to provide their name, which will be written on the ticket at the time of purchase. They must also ensure they bring personal photographic ID to the festival when they arrive to comply with the festival's anti-touting policy.

Sharon Osbourne has revealed she did not leave The X Factor because of her pay. BUSTED ROYALTIES CASE ENDS
Two original members of Busted have lost their £10m royalties battle. Ki McPhail and Owen Doyle claimed they were forced to sign away their rights before being sacked from the band before they became famous. The pair said they wrote songs with James Bourne and Matt Willis when the group formed in 2001. But the judge in the case, Mr Justice Morgan, dismissed their claims and criticised the evidence they gave. In a statement after winning the case, ex-Busted members James Bourne and Matt Willis said: "This was an opportunistic attempt by Doyle and McPhail to cash in on our success.” Their claims were a complete fabrication and we are delighted that the judge has seen through this and totally dismissed them. "Our position has been completely vindicated and our achievements with Busted remain untarnished."

MADONNA APPROVED FOR ADOPTION
A court in Malawi has given final approval for Madonna to adopt a young boy from the country. The ruling comes 18 months after she began adoption proceedings for David Banda, who is now two. Justice Andrew Nyirenda said he was satisfied Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie were "perfect parents". The boy's father, Yohane, said he was pleased the adoption was successful. "I am glad it's all over," he said. "I am glad David has a new, good home." Madonna was granted a temporary custody order after choosing David from an orphanage when he was 13 months old in October 2006. The full adoption was recommended by a social worker who visited Madonna and her family at their London home.

EUROVISION 2008
On Saturday night Belgrade played host to this year’s Eurovision Song Contest. Ireland’s entry failed to get through the semi-finals earlier in the week and Dustin the Turkey was sent home but Portugal returned to the contest final for the first time since 2003 after qualifying. This year’s winners were Russia with a song called ‘Believe’ performed by Dima Bilan. It won with 272 points followed by Ukraine with 230. Greece came third followed by Armenia and Norway. The UK came in joint last place with Germany and Poland. Andy Abraham's 'Even If' scored just 14 points after another night of political voting and countries voting for their closest neighbours. Terry Wogan, who has presented the BBC’s Eurovision coverage since the early seventies, has dropped the biggest hint yet that he may not return to Eurovision next year.

MADONNA ADOPTION CASE DELAYED

GLASTO LINE-UP REVEALED
The Glastonbury festival line-up for this year was leaked to the media a few days before organisers had planned to announce it on Thursday. Emily Eavis blamed a printing firm mole for leaking details of acts performing on the festival's main three stages. "I'm not really angry about it, it is normal for bits and bobs to come out," she said. The official line-up was announced on Thursday and includes Kate Nash, KT Tunstall, James Blunt, Shakin’ Stevens and Gilbert O’Sullivan on the Pyramid stage together with the headline act Jay-Z. THE GLASTONBURY DEBATE CONTINUES
After Noel Gallagher criticised the decision to have a hip-hop act headlining the Glastonbury Festival this year, Michael Eavis’ daughter Emily has hit back. Oasis star, Noel recently said having rapper Jay-Z at the festival was the reason tickets had not sold out this year. He said it was "wrong" to have a hip-hop headliner and added “I'm sorry, but Jay-Z? No chance, Glastonbury has a tradition of guitar music”. Emily Eavis hit back and writing in the Independent Newspaper she wrote they felt "honoured" to have the hip-hop star. "He is absolutely the right act for our festival". Meanwhile, apparently the festival organisers have made the registration process easier and you now don’t have to submit your picture to be able to buy tickets online.

GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL TICKETS SHOCKER
Glastonbury organiser Michael Eavis said slow ticket sales are due to terrible weather in previous years, not the choice of the main headline act Jay-Z. Last Sunday was the first time in recent memory that tickets did not sale out on the first day. 100,000 had sold on the first day out of a total of 137,500 so organisers we forced to re-open registration for tickets on their website. Emily Eavis played it down saying "To be honest, there aren't that many tickets left to sell. They'll probably trickle along I imagine over the next few weeks. There won't be a massive surge."

DOHERTY BEHIND BARS
Pete Doherty’s luck has run out and he has been jailed for 14 weeks for violating his probation and for using drugs. He repeatedly missed his rehab appointments. Under current rules, he is likely to serve around a month of his sentence. But if he spends the full 14 weeks in prison, he will miss a headlining slot on the Park stage at the Glastonbury Festival.

OFCOM RULE BRIT AWARDS WERE OK
Ofcom have found no wrong-doing by ITV over Sharon Osbourne's outburst at the Brit Awards. More than 128 people complained about the live show, which saw the host Sharon swear at, guest, Vic Reeves who was presenting an award and accused him of being drunk. Ofcom said "While we understand that this language may have been offensive to some viewers, it was broadcast after the watershed and in a programme with a particular reputation.”We believe that regular viewers would have been aware of the likelihood of this kind of material. "Further, Ofcom research indicates that the examples of language quoted are generally considered quite mild." In Ofcom's view, the programme "did not condone or glamorise alcohol misuse". "The effect of these images was more likely to be cautionary than attractive," it said.

SERVICE PROVIDER REFUSES TO POLICE INTERNET
The head of one of Britain's biggest internet providers has criticised the music industry for demanding that service providers act against online piracy. The trade body for UK music, the BPI, asked internet service providers to disconnect people who ignore requests to stop sharing music. But Charles Dunstone from the TalkTalk broadband service is refusing. He said it is not his job to be an internet policeman.

U2 SIGN DEAL WITH LIVE NATION
U2 have signed a 12-year deal with concert promoter Live Nation to handle the band's merchandising, digital and branding rights. The deal follows the ground-breaking recording and touring contract Madonna signed with the company last year. U2, however, will continue to release records through Universal Music.

Neil Aspinall, who ran the Apple Corps music empire for the Beatles, died at a hospital in New York this week, aged 66. A school friend of Sir Paul McCartney and George Harrison, he was regarded by some of the band as the "fifth Beatle".

CORINNE HUSBAND FOUND DEAD
The husband of Corinne Bailey Rae was sadly found dead last weekend after a suspected drugs overdose. The body of 31 year old Jason Rae was found in a flat in Leeds last weekend. Corrine has apparently been left devastated by the event. A police spokesman said officers arrested a 32 year old man on suspicion of supplying controlled drugs. He has since been released on police bail. A post-mortem examination on the body of Jason was inconclusive and police said they were awaiting toxicology reports. Jason Rae, a saxophonist in the band The Haggis Horns, had been due to play a gig at the HiFi Club in Leeds last Sunday night, the gig was cancelled.

MILLS GETS HER MONEY BUT NOT HER OWN WAY
Heather Mills has won £24.3m in her divorce settlement with estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney. Speaking outside London's High Court, she said she was "glad it's over" and "it was an incredible result to secure mine and my daughter's future". As part of the deal, she will receive £14 million for herself and £2.5 million to buy a house in London. Paul will also have to pay their four-year-old daughter Beatrice's nanny and school fees and will pay Beatrice £35,000 a year. ABBA DRUMMER FOUND DEAD
A former session drummer with pop band Abba has been found dead in the garden of his Spanish home with cuts to his throat. Police believe Brunkert hit his head on a window and shattered the glass which cut him. A post-mortem is taking place. He was found by a neighbour late on Sunday in a pool of blood.

Michael Jackson’s lawyer has said that Michael has managed to hold on to his Neverland ranch and saved it from being auctioned off. He had been told that if he failed to pay the £12.5m he owed on the California property, it would be auctioned next week. The United Nations drugs watchdog has said that dealing too leniently with celebrities who use drugs sends out the wrong message to young people. The president of the International Narcotics Control Board, warned against treating famous drug users too softly. He said when celebrities take illegal drugs it glamorises narcotics abuse. He said "Celebrities are often involved in illicit drug trafficking or in illicit drug use and this is glamorised," "If, indeed, they have committed offences they should be dealt with." EUROVISION: DECISION MADE
On Saturday, the BBC hosted a show called Eurovision: Your Decision, giving the public the chance to pick the UK’s Eurovision song for 2008. Six contestants took part and the judges got to pick which acts they send through to the public vote. Rob McVeigh and Loveshy didn’t make it through and Andy Abraham only just made it through after being given Terry Wogan’s ‘Wildcard’. The public vote narrowed it down to the final two, pushing The Revelations and Simona Armstrong out into the cold. The final round of the public vote between Andy Abraham and Michelle Gayle resulted in Andy as the winner. Michelle Gayle was the judges first choice but Andy Abraham will represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest on 24th May with his self written song called ‘Even If’. NME AWARDS 2008
The NME awards took place in London this week and the Arctic Monkeys picked up three awards. Their single ‘Fluorescent Adolescent’ won them Best Track and they scooped Best Video for ‘Teddy Picker’. BRITS 2008
The Brit Awards took place on Wednesday, in London, presented by The Osbournes. The big winners this year were Take That winning Best Live Act and Best Single with ‘Shine’, The Arctic Monkeys winning Best Group and Best Album and The Foo Fighters winning Best International Group and Best International Album. Other award winners included Mark Ronson winning Best Male Solo, Kate Nash winning Best Female Solo and Mika winning Best Breakthrough Act. The Osbournes were pretty well behaved except when Vic Reeves came on stage and apparently forgot which award he was revealing, this sent Sharon into a tirade of insults and swearing and she even announced the winner herself. AMY DOES NOT GET TO GO TO THE GRAMMYS
Amy Winehouse will not perform at this weekend's Grammy Awards after her US visa application was rejected by the country's embassy in London. However, they later reversed their decision but did not leave Amy enough time to get her visa and travel sorted. A spokesman for the star said she was "disappointed", but had "accepted the ruling and will be concentrating on her recovery" in rehab. She has been nominated for six Grammy Awards, they include the major prizes of record, album and song of the year. She will now perform via satellite during the ceremony instead.

BRITNEY UNDER PSYCHIATRIC CARE
Britney Spears was apparently sectioned and taken to hospital and is continuing to receive treatment in a psychiatric ward in Los Angeles. The 26-year-old was taken to the UCLA medical centre by ambulance with a police escort in the early hours of Thursday morning. She had apparently suffered a breakdown after no sleep for three days, daily binges of 20 cans of energy drink, she bought pills by the bag load and drove around the streets of L.A for no apparent reason. MORE SHAME FOR AMY
A video of Amy Winehouse apparently smoking a crack pipe was posted on The Sun's website. In the video, she claims she has taken "six valium" before lighting up and inhaling from the pipe. The singer's agent and the Police both declined to comment on the newspaper's claims. But her record company, Universal, said: "We are deeply disappointed and upset by these latest revelations and are doing everything we can to offer Amy our full support in dealing with her problems." Later this week Amy was admitted into rehab in a battle to kick her addiction to drugs. A statement from her record company said she entered the facility "after talks with her record label, management, family and doctors".

BRITS NOMINATIONS REVEALED
The Brit Awards nominations were revealed, at the Roundhouse in Camden, north London, on Monday and Take That, Mika and Leona Lewis are leading the shortlist with four nominations each. Producer and performer Mark Ronson, singer Kate Nash and rock bands Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs have three nominations each. This year's ceremony will be held at Earls Court in London on 20th February. The bash will be presented this year by Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon. Their children, Jack and Kelly will present the spin-off shows and behind the scenes shows on ITV2. The awards will be broadcast live on ITV1 with a few seconds delay so that any bad language can be edited out. PLUG PULLED ON BRITNEY TV SHOW
A U.S therapist Dr Phil McGraw, who spent time with Britney Spears in hospital, has cancelled a TV show about the star. He has said her situation is "too intense". He had planned to broadcast a programme about the singer's health problems but has now cancelled the idea. In a statement on his website, the celebrity counsellor said: "I have made the decision not to move forward with the taping at this particular time." Amy Winehouse's album ‘Back to Black’ has been confirmed as the biggest selling album of 2007 in the UK. The album sold 1.85 million copies, including 265,000 sales of a recent deluxe version of the LP.
