Female singers were the most popular live music acts of 2011, beating men three to one, a poll has revealed. Adele was number one, with her gigs proving 25 times more popular than Justin Bieber’s.

Decades Most Played Songs Revealed
Can't Get You Out Of My Head by Kylie Minogue has been named the most-played tune of the last decade. It received the most airplay and live covers in the Noughties, according to PRS for Music. Britney Spears' 2004 single Toxic placed second, ahead of Robbie Williams' Angels in third. Jamelia's Superstar was fourth, ahead of Liberty X's Just A Little in fifth.

Katy Perry & Russell Brand Split
Russell Brand has announced he has filed for divorce from US singer Katy Perry after 14 months of marriage. The comedian filed divorce papers in the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. In a statement the 36-year-old said: "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends." The announcement comes after speculation in the press about the state of their relationship.

Sinead O'Conner Ends 16 Day Marriage
Sinead O’Connor has ended her marriage to husband number four, 16 days after their Las Vegas wedding. The singer revealed her brief union with drug addiction counsellor Barry Herridge is over because he was “too nice to trap”. She blamed friends of her 38-year-old hubby and a “wild ride” on their wedding night looking for drugs for the breakdown of their brief marriage.

Military Wives Have Christmas Number One
Military Wives Choir have taken the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart, earning the title of the 2011 Christmas Number One single for their song 'Wherever You Are'. The results were announced on Christmas day before 3pm, during BBC1's Top Of The Pops Christmas special.

George Michael Reveals He Is Lucky To Be Alive
George Michael gave a press conference outside his home in London and revealed that doctors in Austria had spent "three weeks keeping me alive". The singer confirmed he had been suffering from a form of pneumonia and described his time in hospital as "the worst month of my life". He said I feel amazing. I'm very weak, but I feel amazing. George, who was forced to cancel shows because of his illness, added that he was still determined to fulfil the cancelled gig dates and also wanted to play an extra show "for the doctors in Austria who saved my life".

U2 Had Top Earning Tour Of 2011
U2's 360° show was the highest earning tour of 2011, according to Billboard Boxscore. The series of shows grossed £186m across 44 sold-out gigs with a total of 2,887,972 people attending. Take That's summer stadium Progress gigs, the highest grossing tour in UK history, came in third.

Bon Jovi Proves He Is Alive
Jon Bon Jovi has denied online reports that claimed he had died. The 49-year-old singer and actor posted a picture of himself on Monday holding a message making light of the reports. "Heaven looks a lot like New Jersey," the handwritten note said.

Harry Judd Wins Strictly Come Dancing
McFly musician Harry Judd has been voted the winner of the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. The drummer beat Waterloo Road actress Chelsee Healey to lift the glittterball trophy at Blackpool's Tower Ballroom. Harry was also the judges' favourite, scoring a maximum of 40 points on two dances, his first of the series. Harry, who is 25, said after his win "I have just had the most incredible experience. I have been on the best show on TV and I am just honoured." Other musicians who featured on this year’s series were Jason Donovan, Holly Valance and Lulu.

Amy Winehouse Biopic Could Happen
A spokesperson for Amy Winehouse's family has said that they could give their permission for a biopic to be made of the late singer's life. Earlier this week her father Mitch said he wouldn't allow her songs to be used in any big screen project, but apparently her family could still give the green-light for the movie.

It has been revealed that Lady Gaga is this year’s top earning female singer with an income of £60 million. She has made nearly double of that of her nearest rival for the title Taylor Swift. Katy Perry came in third place earning £28 million, Beyonce fourth and Rihanna was in fifth place.

Bosses of weekday TV show This Morning were left red-faced after swear words started to appear on their Twitter feed. Followers suspected the feed had been hacked but it turned out to be the work of the show’s guests that day which was boyband The Wanted.

Get Ready For The Brits
Next year’s Brit Awards are shaping up nicely. The award ceremony in February will once again take place from the O2 Arena and will once again be hosted by James Corden. Rihanna and Coldplay have so far been lined-up to play at the bash. This week the new look statue award was revealed. This year it is designed by Sir Peter Blake, who is best known for designing The Beatles' Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. After just one year away The Outstanding Contribution To Music award has been revived and will go to Blur. Emeli Sande, Maverick Sabre and Michael Kiwanuka have been shortlisted for The Critics’ Choice award. The full nominations list will be revealed on 12th January.

Jacko Doctor Jailed For Four Years
Conrad Murray, the doctor convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson, has been sentenced to four years in prison. He was found guilty last month after a six-week trial. Judge Michael Pastor told the court that the evidence in the case showed a "continuous pattern of lies and deceit" by the disgraced physician.

George Michael "Improving"
George Michael is past the worst of his battle with severe pneumonia, according to his doctors. In a statement, physicians at Vienna's AKH hospital said that the 48-year-old is 'improving steadily' a week after falling ill. They confirmed that despite some recent speculation, the singer is not suffering from any other health issues. They added that he had been in intensive care due to the “severity and extension” of the illness. Earlier in the week, one tabloid suggested that George’s voice could suffer from the treatment he has been receiving. His partner and sisters all visited him in hospital.

George Michael Fights Pneumonia
George Michael is "improving every day", his friend Fadi Fawaz has revealed. The 48-year-old was struck down with severe pneumonia this week and has since been in intensive care at a Vienna hospital. Now Fawaz has spoken out in the Daily Star to assure fans that George is "much better".

Gallagher Legal Battle Back On
The legal fight between Noel Gallagher and brother Liam is apparently back on. Liam had filed a lawsuit, in the summer, after his brother said in a press conference that he had pulled out of a headline Festival performance in 2009 due to a hangover. He then said he had dropped the suit when Noel offered an apology. But now, according to the Daily Mirror, Noel has hit back, filling a lengthy court submission in which he accuses his brother of leaving abusive voicemail messages on his wife’s phone and trying to attack him with a guitar.

Barlow Concert Raises Over £2.5m
On Thursday night a massive concert took place at Manchester’s MEN called Children In Need Rocks. The concert was the brain-child of, Take That star, Gary Barlow to raise money for the Children In Need charity. The concert, which was broadcast live on the TV featured great performances from the likes of Lady Gaga, Michael Buble, JLS, Elbow, Snow Patrol, Jessie J and many more. Gary Barlow himself took to the stage to perform alone. He should have been performing with Cheryl Cole, who had to pull out at the last minute due to illness. The night, which was brought to a close by Coldplay, raised more than two and a half million pounds.

Bieber Baby Lawsuit Dropped
Mariah Yeater, the woman who claimed singer Justin Bieber fathered her baby, has dropped her paternity lawsuit. The 17-year-old star is expected to take a paternity test soon which he has claimed will prove he is not the father. Doctor Guilty Of Michael Jackson's Death
On Monday, Michael Jackson's personal physician, Dr Conrad Murray, was found guilty of the involuntary manslaughter of the star by a jury in Los Angeles. A panel of seven men and five women took two days of deliberation to reach a verdict. Michael Jackson died on 25th June 2009 from an overdose of the powerful anaesthetic propofol. There was a shriek in the courtroom as the verdict was read. Outside the courthouse, the street erupted with cheers and chanting. The singer’s sister LaToya Jackson told the Associated Press news agency the family was overjoyed at the verdict. "Michael was looking over us," she said. Dr Murray was remanded in custody without bail until he receives his sentence, set for 29th November. Murray could receive a maximum prison term of four years and lose his licence to practise medicine.

Heavy D died this week in Los Angeles at the age of 44. The rapper, real name Dwight Arrington Myers, was most famous for his releases with his backing group The Boyz. The cause of death has not been reported.

Jackson Trial - Week Six
It was week six of the trial of Michael Jackson’s former doctor this week. On Friday the case against Dr Conrad Murray went before the jury. The cardiologist denies giving Jackson an overdose of the powerful sedative propofol to help him sleep. The jury of seven men and five women heard from 49 witnesses and saw more than 300 pieces of evidence over the six weeks of the trial. There was no sign of Dr Murray on Friday or his legal team. During closing statements on Thursday, the prosecution said the world had lost a "genius", while the defence characterised Murray as "a little fish in a big dirty pond". Prosecutors said Dr Murray's care of the pop star had been "bizarre" and left the pop star's children fatherless. The panel will resume considering the involuntary manslaughter charge against Dr Conrad Murray on Monday.

Bieber Denies Baby Allegations
Justin Bieber spoke out about allegations that he has illegitimately fathered a child with a 20-year-old fan. "I'm going to ignore the rumours and focus on what is real" the teenage star wrote in a message to his Twitter followers. Nonetheless, the accusations of 20-year-old fan Mariah Yeater are already headed to the courtroom, following legal filings in San Diego.

Winehouse Death Caused By Alcohol
The inquest into death of Amy Winehouse took place this week. It was said that she died of excessive alcohol consumption, having consumed enough alcohol on the day of her death to render her more than four-and-a-half times over the drink drive limit. It was said her body was found near three empty vodka bottles resulting in the singer's blood containing 416mg of alcohol per 100ml. Her death has been recorded as "misadventure".

Jackson Trial - Week Five
This week saw week five of the trial of Michael Jackson’s former doctor Conrad Murray. This week the court was told by the singer’s nutritionist and holistic nurse that she warned him that propofol was too dangerous to be used at his home. Meanwhile Doctor Murray’s other former patients gave testimonies that moved him to tears. One said "If this man was greedy he never would have come to the community of Acres Home”, testifying that most residents are senior citizens on fixed incomes. The trial continues.

Q Awards 2011
The Q Awards took place in London honouring the best in British music. Adele won twice, picking up the award for Best Female Artist and Best Track, for her single “Rolling In The Deep”. Westlife Announce Split
Westlife have announced they will split up "amicably" after 14 years together. The Irish pop group will finish with a farewell tour next year and said they were looking forward to "new ventures". The band, for many years managed by X Factor judge Louis Walsh, have had 14 UK number one hits over the course of their career. The group said in a statement: "Over the years Westlife has become so much more to us than just a band. Westlife are a family." The band has sold more than 44 million records around the world. It has been the fourth week of the trial of Michael Jackson’s former Doctor Conrad Murray. Jackson Trial - Week Three
The trial of Michael Jackson’s former doctor, Conrad Murray, entered its third week. This week the court heard Michael Jackson could still be alive if six 'extreme deviations' in his treatment had been avoided. Cardiologist Dr Alon Steinberg listed six flaws in Conrad Murray's treatment which had a direct impact on the 50-year-old singers’ death. Prompted by prosecutors, he described Murray's 'bizarre' behaviour in trying to revive Jackson after he stopped breathing on June 25th 2009, and his catalogue of elementary blunders in caring for the star. Lawyers for Dr Murray have now stepped back from claims that Jackson swallowed a fatal dose of propofol when he was out of sight. Jackson Trial - Week Two
The trial into Michael Jackson’s death entered its second week and more insights into the stars state came to light. A former bodyguard has revealed Michael was so convinced that there would be an assassination attempt on him during his live comeback shows that he was seriously considering wearing a bulletproof vest onstage. Jurors were told the singer was clinically dead when he arrived in hospital. Two emergency room doctors said they tried to resuscitate the pop star because Dr Murray insisted on it, but they believed the efforts were futile. A recording of Michael bemoaning his unhappy childhood was played. Speaking about children he said "I love them. I love them because I didn't have a childhood... I feel their pain. I feel their hurt. I can deal with it". The trial continues.

Michael Jackson's Doctor On Trial
Michael Jackson's personal physician has appeared in a Los Angeles court this week. Dr Conrad Murray, aged 58, is on trial for involuntary manslaughter which he denies. If convicted, the maximum sentence is four years in prison. The court was played a recording of Michael talking and slurring his words, over a month before he died. He appeared to be drunk or high on an unknown substance. Michael’s head of security revealed how the singers children “broke down” in front of his body. It was also alleged that Conrad Murray told the performer's bodyguard to pick up vials of medicine before phoning for help on the day he died. It was also alleged that he failed to tell paramedics he had been giving the star propofol as they tried to revive him. The trial continues.

REM Split
Members of legendary American rock band REM have announced they are splitting up after 31 years. "We have decided to call it a day as a band," they said. "To anyone who ever felt touched by our music, our deepest thanks for listening." The group found fame with a string of albums. The band's website was briefly unavailable on Wednesday afternoon after the announcement was made. Four of REM's albums in the 1990s went platinum in the UK, peaking with Automatic For The People, which sold more than 1.8m copies. The group was originally made up of singer Michael Stipe, guitarist Peter Buck, bassist Mike Mills and drummer Bill Berry, who left the band in 1997. Amy Winehouse Not Killed By Drugs
Amy Winehouse's father has said his daughter was trying to overcome an addiction with alcohol, not drugs, before her death. Mitch Winehouse said she had been clean of illegal drugs for three years before she died in July. He told the BBC that she had replaced her previous drug problems with addictions to exercise and shopping. But added "Then it was drinking and unfortunately that's not quite so easy to overcome." On Tuesday night, PJ Harvey became the first artist to win the Mercury Music Prize twice, with her album ‘Let England Shake’. She first won the award on the day of the 9/11 attacks a decade ago. Dermatologist Barred From Giving Jacko Evidence
The judge in the forthcoming trial of Michael Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray has barred the singer's dermatologist from giving evidence. Bono Health Scare Rumours
A spokeswoman for U2 frontman Bono has denied claims that he suffered from a recent health scare in the south of France. It was reported that the singer had been taken to Hospital in Monaco after coming down with heart palpitations, with the Irish Independent claiming that he was examined by a leading heart specialist and ordered to get some rest. However, a spokeswoman issued a statement to Reuters on behalf of Bono claiming that, although he did attend the hospital, it was for a routine checkup rather than for emergency treatment. The funeral of Amy Winehouse took place on Tuesday. She was buried in a private funeral attended by her family and close friends. Kelly Osbourne, wearing her hair in what appeared to be Amy’s trademark beehive style, was among the famous faces invited to attend the ceremony. Amy Winehouse Dies
Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her north London home. A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained. The Brit and Grammy award-winner had struggled with drink and drug addiction and had recently spent time in rehab. She pulled out of a comeback tour last month after a disastrous appearance at her first gig. Her record label Universal called her "a gifted musician, artist and performer", adding: "Our prayers go out to Amy's family, friends and fans." Amy’s dad has now flown back to the U.K after hearing the devastating news.

Jennifer Lopez Announces Divorce
Musician and actress Jennifer Lopez and singer Marc Anthony are divorcing after seven years of marriage, the couple have announced. "This was a very difficult decision," the pair said in a statement. Timberlake Plans MySpace Revival
Justin Timberlake's longtime manager Johnny Wright has said that the singer is considering a talent contest as one way of reviving MySpace. Justin took an ownership stake in the declining social media site after the advertising network Specific Media bought the company for $35 million from News Corp last week. Timberlake Has A Stake In MySpace
News Corporation has sold its ailing social networking site MySpace to online advertising firm Specific Media. News Corp paid $580m (£361m) for MySpace in 2005, but users and advertisers left the site for rival social sites like Facebook and Twitter. The sale terms were not disclosed, but there were unconfirmed reports that the price paid was as low as $35m. Musician and actor Justin Timberlake will take a stake in the business, Specific Media said. He will play "a major role in developing the creative direction and strategy for the company moving forward," the company said.

Glastonbury Festival Heats Up
The Glastonbury Festival has been taking place in Somerset this weekend. The conditions were wet and muddy for most of the weekend although today the festival site experienced hot and sunny weather for the final day. The weekend has seen great performances from the likes of U2, Morrissey, Coldplay, Tinie Tempah and Elbow. The festival concluded last night when Beyonce took to the Pyramid stage after a set from Pendulum. The latest crime statistics for this year's festival revealed that there had been 123 arrests as of Sunday morning, which is up from last year's figure of 109 arrests up until the Sunday morning. It was revealed yesterday that the chairman of the West Oxfordshire Conservative Association had been found dead in a portable toilet, on the site, his death is not said to be suspicious. Men Charged Over Plans To Harm And Rob Joss Stone
Two men have been charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and rob soul singer Joss Stone. The men, who have been formally charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm, were arrested after a suspicious vehicle was seen in the Cullompton area of Devon near the singer's home on Monday. The men were reported to have been detained after police found swords, rope and a body bag in their possession. Lily Allen's wedding has taken place at a village church near her country home in Gloucestershire. Singers Reign On Britain's Got Talent Final
This year’s Britain’s Got Talent concluded last night with three singing acts in the top three. A band called New Bounce came in third place, the 12 year-old favourite to win Ronan Parke came in second place while outsider Jai McDowell won the show. The pop-opera singer said he felt "absolutely amazing, absolutely fantastic" after he won. The 24 year old also said he would buy his house with the £100,000 prize. Azerbaijan Win Eurovision
Azerbaijan has been crowned the winner of this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Germany, while the UK came 11th. Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal of Ell/Nikki were voted Europe's favourites, after scoring 221 points with their love song, Running Scared. Newly reformed band Blue notched up 100 points, whilst Ireland's entry, X Factor twins Jedward, finished eighth. Italy's Raphael Gualazzi took second place, followed by Eric Saade from Sweden. Cole For US X Factor Judge
Cheryl Cole has got a job on the judging panel of the US version of The X Factor, Simon Cowell has confirmed. The 27-year-old has worked on the past three series of the UK show. Meanwhile it was confirmed today that Nicole Scherzinger and TV presenter Steve Jones will host the American X Factor. Steve said he "couldn't be happier" about co-hosting the programme. Dermot O’Leary had previously been tipped for the job. Back on the UK X Factor and Gary Barlow has reportedly signed a deal to become a new judge. U2 Promise Glastonbury "On Steroids".
U2 have promised they will play an epic, stadium-like performance at this year’s Glastonbury festival. Bassist Adam Clayton told Q that the band’s headline performance on the Pyramid Stage on the Friday (June 24) of the Somerset bash will have grand production values. Clayton said: "It’s very un-Glastonbury to have a big production but we will be sneaking a few things in through the back gate which will hopefully make this experience a little more like Glastonbury on steroids."

Returned Glastonbury Tickets Sell Out
The resale of returned and cancelled tickets for this year's Glastonbury Festival sold out within two hours on Sunday. Tickets for the event first went on sale in October last year with deposits of £50 being paid for the £195 passes. Unwanted and unsold passes went on resale at 0900 BST. The festival apologised via their GlastoFest Twitter account to those who did not get a ticket, saying "demand hugely outstripped supply".

Justin Bieber has lost his King of YouTube crown to Rebecca Black. The Canadian super star's YouTube channel regularly tops the monthly most viewed chart. Full Glastonbury Line-Up Revealed
The full line-up for this year’s Glastonbury festival was revealed this week. Plan B, Tinie Tempah and Laura Marling are amongst the list of acts. They join the likes of headliners U2, Coldplay and Beyonce who are set to play at Worthy Farm in June. Other acts on the bill include Pendulum, Paolo Nutini, and Wu Tang Clan, who will all play the main stage. The Vaccines, The Kills, Chipmunk, White Lies, Kaiser Chiefs and Jessie J are all lined up for slots on the Other Stage. Morrissey will make his Glastonbury return when he warms up the Pyramid Stage ahead of U2 on the opening night of the festival. According to The Mirror newspaper, Beyonce is calling on the help of some of her showbiz pals, including her husband Jay-Z, to ensure that her gig at the event in Somerset is one to remember.

New Suicide Claim In Jacko Death Trial
A defence lawyer for the doctor accused of Michael Jackson's manslaughter has claimed the singer committed suicide. Edward Chernoff told a pre-trial hearing for his client Dr Conrad Murray, who has pleaded not guilty, that the late singer was anguished about his poor financial situation. "The crux of the defence is going to be that Michael Jackson engaged in a desperate act and took desperate measures that caused his death," Chernoff said. "We believe at the time Michael Jackson died he was a desperate man in relation to his financial affairs." Dr Murray, who was working with Jackson ahead of his ill-fated comeback gigs, could face four years in prison if convicted. The trial will be televised.

Royalties Fall For First Time Ever
The amount of money artists get from their songs being played in public has fallen for the first time ever. The Performing Right Society (PRS) says the amount fell one per cent in 2010 to £611.2 million pounds. No Charges For Chris Brown's TV Show Rage
Chris Brown will not face charges for smashing a window after appearing on Good Morning America. US network ABC has decided not to make a complaint to police about the incident which happened on Tuesday. The 21-year-old singer is currently on five years probation as a result of assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009. It is not known if Chris will be paying for the window, which he reportedly smashed with a chair after ripping his shirt off and scaring staff on the show after he flew into a rage when interviewer Robin Roberts quizzed him on the attack.

Nate Dogg Dies
Rapper Nate Dogg has died at the age of 41, his family announced. The Californian artist, real name Nathaniel D Hale, is best known for his collaboration with Warren G on 1994 track Regulate. The cause of his death is thought to be complications due to recent health problems, including two strokes, one in 2007 and one in 2008. Artists that have paid tribute to Nate Dogg include rap stars Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Ludacris. His most recent album called Nate Dogg, his third studio record, was released in 2008.

Christina Aguilera Arrested In L.A
Christina Aguilera was arrested in Los Angeles on a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication after police pulled over her boyfriend on suspicion of driving under the influence. Brit Awards 2011
The first Brit Awards to be held at The O2 Arena in London took place on Tuesday evening. The awards were hosted by James Corden. Plan B’s performance controversially ended with him setting fire to a fake policeman, Take That also went with a police themed performance where they were joined on stage by men in riot gear. Tinie Tempah’s performance included an amazing laser display while Adele’s performance was raw, without any gimmicks, but totally moving. Tinie Tempah collected two awards, and they were for Best Breakthrough Act and Best Single with Pass Out. Arcade Fire also won two of the International awards. Rihanna Plans Sexy Brits Performance
Rihanna is allegedly planning her sexiest performance to date at The BRIT Awards 2011 on Tuesday. According to The Metro, she is plotting to shock audiences with her stage show at the awards ceremony and is "seeking revenge" on the music industry after her latest single S&M, was censored by her label, Def Jam. Meanwhile Brit Awards host James Corden is to donate his fee to Comic Relief. He was due to pick up £50,000 for his work at the music industry awards, but has now told the event's organisers to pay it directly to the charity. James was inundated with tweets praising his decision as soon as news of it broke, with one fan describing him as 'one of the nicest stars in Britain'.

Coldplay To Headline Glastonbury
Coldplay will headline this year’s Glastonbury festival in Somerset, it’s been announced. The band, who have been strongly rumoured to appear, will top the bill on the Saturday of the event, which runs from June 22nd -24th. Coldplay, who are currently recording a new album, are understood to have agreed to perform at the event this week, reports The Sun. The band also headlined the festival in 2005. The Rolling Stones were also approached about headlining the event this year, but have apparently turned the opportunity down. Tickets for this year’s Glastonbury festival have already sold out.

Blue For UK Eurovision
Boyband Blue will represent the UK in the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, it has been announced. The group will sing their new single ‘I Can’ for the competition in Germany in May. Jacko Doctor Pleads Not Guilty
The doctor present at Michael Jackson's deathbed has pleaded not guilty to a charge of involuntary manslaughter in the singer's fatal overdose. A judge ordered Dr Conrad Murray should stand trial in March over Jackson's death aged 50 in June 2009. Prosecutors say Dr Murray, who was treating Jackson for insomnia, gave him a lethal dose of a powerful anaesthetic and then failed to provide proper care. "I am an innocent man," Dr Murray said in a Los Angeles court. The trial is set to begin on 28th March and is expected to last six weeks. The judge said he would decide before then whether to allow television coverage of court proceedings.

Bruno Mars To Plead Guilty To Drug Charges
Bruno Mars will plead guilty to cocaine possession when he appears in court next month. In return, he will receive a fine, probation and community service, but will not have the charge permanently on his record. He was arrested in September after being found with cocaine in the bathroom of a Las Vegas club after a performance.

Gary Uncertain Over Robbie's Take That Future
Gary Barlow stunned Take That fans this week by saying he still views the band a “four-piece”. This raises the question as to whether Robbie Williams’ return to the band is on a permanent basis. Robbie left the band 16 years ago to pursue a solo career. Take That split up shortly afterwards but reformed in 2006. Robbie rejoined the band late last year and is on their latest album. Speaking in an interview this week Gary said “moving forward, I know we’re back with Rob right now but I still see our future as a four-piece band”. This left Robbie fans confused as to his future in the band. Robbie will be part of Take That’s forthcoming tour but his future seems uncertain after that.

Brit Awards Nominations Revealed
Tinie Tempah leads the way at this year's Brit Awards with four nominations. The 22-year-old is up for Best British Male, Best Breakthrough Act, Best Single for Pass Out and Album Of The Year for Disc-Overy. Rapper Plan B, folk band Mumford And Sons and The xx all have three nominations and Take That are up for two prizes. It was also revealed that this year's ceremony will be hosted by comedian James Corden. Other nominated artists include Mark Ronson, Cheryl Cole, Biffy Clyro and Paloma Faith. Lots of music fans have been complaining that the Lifetime Achievement award has now been scrapped and Iron Maiden and JLS fans were not happy that their were no nominations for them. A judge has ordered the personal doctor of Michael Jackson to stand trial for involuntary manslaughter. Judge Michael Pastor gave the ruling against Dr Conrad Murray at a preliminary hearing in Los Angeles. Dr Murray faces up to four years in prison if convicted at trial.

The Case Against Jacko's Doctor Builds
Michael Jackson's doctor tried to hide the fact that he had given the singer a powerful anaesthetic shortly before he died, a prosecutor has said. At a preliminary hearing, the prosecutor said Dr Conrad Murray phoned paramedics only after Jackson had died. Prosecutors say Dr Murray's negligence in treating the singer for insomnia led to his death aged 50 in June 2009. Later this week, a bodyguard to Michael Jackson testified the singer's doctor ordered him to clean up medical paraphernalia in the moments after he died and a paramedic said Dr Murray did not mention he had given Jackson propofol, an anaesthetic found to have caused the singer's death.

Eminem Has America's Top Selling Album Of 2010
Eminem's Recovery was the top-selling album of 2010 in America, selling 3.42m copies, according to music sales tracker Nielsen SoundScan. He is the first artist to top the annual chart twice since SoundScan began tracking sales in 1991. In 2002, The Eminem Show sold 7.61m copies.
