Cheryl Off X Factor Until October
Cheryl Tweedy (Cole) will not return to The X Factor until the live finals in October. The judge on the show has been suffering from malaria and has been told to rest. It has been reported that former Pussycat Doll, Nicole Scherzinger will replace Cheryl for the boot camp section of the show.

The Xtra Factor's brand new host is Konnie Huq. Konnie presented Blue Peter for 11 years. She said “I am delighted to be joining The Xtra Factor team. It's amazing to be a part of one of the most popular and well-loved shows on television and I can't wait to get started”

Cheryl Treated For Malaria
Cheryl Cole has been suffering with malaria this week. She collapsed on a photoshoot before she was diagnosed with the potentially killer disease. It is thought she caught the illness on a trip to Tanzania with her friend Derek Hough. After nearly a week of being plagued by headaches and fever Cheryl was moved from intensive care to a private clinic.

Joe's Twitter Hacked
A message was posted on the singer's joemcelderry91 page about his sexuality, which quickly circulated online. However, shortly afterwards, McElderry posted a second message confirming that the previous statement was fake. The first post read: "I want you all to know before it comes out, I am gay. It's been difficult living a lie for so many years but now I feel the time's right x." Within ten minutes, McElderry deleted the message, commenting: "Guys my twitter has been hacked!"

Jedward Get TV Show

Steve Jones In The Running For U.S X Factor Job
Steve Jones has reportedly been included on a shortlist of candidates to host the US version of The X Factor. The presenter allegedly impressed producers with his style and has emerged as a favourite for the job. A source told The Sun that Jones was "recognisable" in America because of his romantic involvement with stars like Halle Berry and Hayden Panettiere. However, the source added: "The job is likely to go to an American."

Ugly Audience Row
A row has broken out during the recording of auditions for this year’s X Factor. Audience members have accused show bosses of banning “ugly” people from sitting behind the judges at the auditions in case their faces are caught on camera. The claims are that only good looking and young people are being chosen to sit behind the judging panel. The claims come from fans that booked tickets well in advanced and queued for hours to get the best seats. They say that security staff hand-picked people to take their places. So far the show’s producers have refused to comment. The X Factor will be screened in HD for the first time in the Autumn.

Stand-In Judges Announced
Katy Perry, Pixie Lott and Natalie Imbruglia will appear as guest judges on the next series of the X Factor, ITV1 has announced. The singers are standing in for regular presenter Dannii Minogue, who is currently expecting a baby. Geri Halliwell joined Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Cheryl Cole at the first round of auditions in Glasgow earlier this week. More temporary replacements are expected to be announced soon. Minogue, who is due to give birth in July, will return for the judges' houses stage of the competition later in the year. According to some reports, Halliwell's appearance in Scotland did not go down well with the live audience.

Dannii Signs Contract
Dannii Minogue has reportedly signed a new contract to appear in The X Factor this year.
According to The Mirror, the 38-year-old judge will be on a £700,000 salary "comparative to last year" for the live shows. "Last year Dannii completely shone on the show. She is over the moon that she'll be back and she'll be bringing Kris and the baby with her," a source claimed.

Dermot Thinks He Won't Land U.S Job
Dermot O'Leary has claimed that he is unlikely to front the US version of The X Factor. X Factor Tour Jedward Row
John & Edward are said to be at the centre of an X Factor tour row after being given twice as many songs as some of their fellow acts. ITV Have No Plans To Move The X Factor
